For Australian painters

Quote it before you leave the driveway.

Stick an A4 sheet on the wall, take one photo, and the quote PDF is in their inbox at your prices while you're still standing there. Then it chases the quote and the invoice for you, on the days you set. Your first three jobs are free, chased to the end; nothing to open, nobody to ring.

First real quote in ten minutes: your name, your bank details, five prices. Nothing to download from a store; it works offline once it has loaded.

Page one of a quote the app made: business details and licence at the top, the client, a description, priced lines grouped by room, and the total inc GST

A real one it made. Example business, real layout. Your name, licence and insurance at the top; nothing on it says Quote & Chase. Three pages, tap to read them.

Win it on the spotQuote sent before the other painter has rung back.
Measured, not guessedAny A4 sheet, one photo, within about 6 cm on a 4 m wall.
Paid without the awkward textsReminders in your words, on your days. One tap, or none.
Nothing to openThe texting and emailing are built in. No accounts, no domain, no laptop.

You didn't start a painting business to type quotes at 9pm.

The subscription quoting apps charge between about $30 and $150 a month, and you still type the quote at the kitchen table. This one charges nothing and does the quote on site, from the phone in your pocket. Here is what changes.

Win the job while you're still there.

Stick any A4 sheet on the wall, printed or blank, and photograph the wall corner to corner. The app outlines the sheet and the wall, you confirm each, and the doors and windows it can see are listed. Or type the sizes. Rooms and a few notes in, a priced PDF out at your rates, with your licence, insurance and terms on it. A private cost card shows your hours, paint and margin; the client never sees it. For outside work, type the address and it brings up the satellite photo and works out the size of the house.

Get paid without being the bad guy.

Deposit, progress and final invoices with your bank details, and a pay-by-card link when you connect Stripe. On the day you set, the app writes the reminder in your words and shows you who to text. One tap. Want it to send by itself and stop the moment they pay? That is what your messages are for; it is already on.

Keep your evenings and your Saturdays.

Client says yes, mark it accepted and the days go into your phone's calendar. A phone enquiry gets a ballpark while they are still on the line, and the app picks visit slots with the least driving. Receipts, statements and a paint order list are a tap each.

Own it.

The app runs on your phone and stores everything on your phone. One tap saves a back-up file you keep in your own Drive or iCloud; restore it on a new phone. An optional PIN locks it. If this website disappeared, the copy on your phone keeps working.

Nobody measures a room from a bare photo to better than about twenty percent, so this app doesn't try. It uses the sheet of paper as the ruler. Try the measuring page with any wall.

Rough ballpark demo

Point your phone at any wall.

A rough sample quote back in about twenty seconds, guessed from the photo alone. This is not the measuring: the app measures with the A4 sheet, on your phone, and uploads nothing. Sample prices, not yours.

This demo sends your photo once to an AI model to guess a price and does not keep it. The app itself measures on the phone and uploads nothing. Sample prices, not an offer of work.

Price

One app, one price, and the texting and emailing already built in. You never open an account with a texting company, an email company or a domain: the messages come out of your allowance, like credit on a phone.

Two phones

$149a month250 messages included, shared between the two of you.

For the two of you: one on the tools, one doing the books. Everything above, on two phones, one bill.

  • The same business name on every quote and every message, from either phone
  • One pile of messages, drawn on by both
  • Each phone keeps its own jobs, and you can hand a job across in two taps
  • Set the second phone up from the first: one link, no second sign-up
Start free, then two phones Start the same way, with your email and your first three jobs free. Switch to two phones from inside the app whenever the second one is needed.

Not a full crew system: two phones do not keep themselves in step, because nobody's jobs are stored on our server. If you need five people looking at the same diary, this is not it yet.

No sign-up call, no demo, no salesperson: there is nobody to talk to unless you email, and then it is me.

What happens when you sign up

Four minutes on the phone in your hand, and nothing waits on anybody. No call to book, no reply to wait for, no account to verify. If you sign up at 9pm on a Sunday you are chasing money by 9:05.

Minute by minute

Minute one

Your card, your business name, your ABN and licence if you have them. Stripe takes the payment; the card never touches us. A receipt lands in your email.

Minute two

The next screen has one button. Tap it on the phone you quote from and the app opens with your name, ABN, licence and your state's deposit rule already in it, and the sending switched on. The same link is in your email if you would rather do it on the ute later.

Minutes three to eight

The app asks what you charge for a day on the tools and works your whole price list out from it, or matches it to a room you have already quoted. Put your bank details in so invoices can be paid. Both are on the set-up list it shows you.

Whenever you like

Type in anyone who already owes you, read the three nudges on the Follow-ups tab, change the wording if it does not sound like you, and tap Start the chasing. From then on it happens without you: quotes chased on your days, invoices chased past their date, and the deposit invoice written the moment someone says yes.

It's yours, honestly

Own it means this: the app runs on your phone, your prices and your jobs live on your phone, and the copy on your phone keeps working whether or not this website does. There is no login and no server holding your data, so there is nothing to switch off and nothing to put a monthly fee on.

  • Free, with no accountOpen it and start. Nothing to sign up for.
  • Your data on your phoneClients, quotes and invoices are stored in the app on the phone. I cannot see them.
  • Which means you back it upOne tap makes a back-up file. Put it in your own Drive or iCloud after every invoice; the app reminds you. That is the trade for no account and no monthly bill.
  • Sending is the one thing that touches a serverTexts and emails have to leave from somewhere. With the subscription on they leave from ours, carrying your business name, with replies coming to you; the message and the number it went to pass through our relay and sit in Twilio's and Resend's logs for up to 90 days, as they would with any sender. Your quotes, prices and jobs never leave the phone. Cancel and the app goes back to writing each message for you to send from your own phone.
What it does not do (yet)
  • No cloud sync between phones. One phone holds the data; move it with the back-up file.
  • No bookkeeper login. Export the CSV and the PDFs and send those.
  • No online accept button for clients. They reply by text or email, or sign the acceptance block on the quote, and you mark it accepted.
  • No Square. Card payments are Stripe payment links only.
  • Not plugged into Xero, MYOB or ServiceM8.
It is not legal advice

The default terms, deposit rules and reminder wording are a starting point. Each state has its own rules on licence numbers, deposit limits and written contracts, and the app warns about the ones it knows. Check them for your state before your first real quote.

Questions

What does it cost, really?

$99 a month with 150 messages in it, and your first three jobs free — 12 messages — with nothing but an email. A message is one text or one email the app sends for you; anything you send yourself from your own phone costs nothing and never will. A job start to finish is usually four or five of them — the quote, a chase-up or two if they go quiet, the invoice and its reminders — so 150 is about 30 jobs a month, not 150. Go over in a busy month and a pack of 100 is $35, one tap inside the app. Card payments on invoices are optional and cost Stripe's usual cut, paid to Stripe, not to me.

What's the catch?

There is one price and it is on this page. Nothing is upsold to you, there is nobody to sit through a call with, and cancelling takes two taps inside the app with no notice period. The honest small print: your jobs live on your phone, so you tap Back up when it asks, and the app cannot see your bank account, so you mark invoices paid yourself or it keeps chasing.

How accurate is the measuring?

With any A4 sheet on the wall and the whole wall in the photo, within about 6 cm on a 4 m wall (about one and a half percent). No sheet handy? Tap the corners and scale from a door or the ceiling height, which is a few percent. With an iPhone Pro scan, a centimetre or two. Typed sizes are what you typed, and the quote says who measured.

Does it chase people by itself?

With the subscription on, yes: three nudges for a quote gone quiet and three for an invoice past its date, in your words, on weekdays between 8am and 6pm, never on your state's public holidays. It stops the moment a quote is accepted or you mark an invoice paid. Free, it writes the same messages and you tap Send. Either way nothing goes to a customer until you have tapped Start on that job.

Why is there a monthly price at all?

Because the texts and emails cost real money to send and somebody has to run the thing that sends them. That is what the messages in your plan are. The alternative, which plenty of software does, is to make you open a Twilio account and a Resend account and wire them up yourself; you would pay them instead of me, and you would spend an evening on it. This way it is already built in and you never see it.

Do I have to open accounts with anyone?

No. The texting and emailing are part of the app and come out of your messages. The only optional one is card payments on your invoices, which use a Stripe account in your name because that is your money going into your bank.

What does your sending system see?

The messages you send and the number or email they go to, which pass through my relay and sit in the text and email providers' logs for up to 90 days, as any sending service logs them. I do not see your quotes, prices or jobs; those never leave your phone. I read a message only to fix one that failed, and your log is deleted when you switch over or leave. The privacy page has the list.

What if I want my money back?

Email me inside 30 days of your first payment and I refund that month, no reason needed, whether or not you have cancelled. After that, cancel from inside the app and you are not charged again; I do not refund a month you have already used unless the sending did not work, in which case I do. The wording is here.

Is there anyone to talk to?

By email, and it is me, not a helpdesk: same business day if a message of yours did not send, within two business days for anything else. There is no number to ring and nothing to book, because the whole point is that none of this needs it. If you would rather be talked through something, say so in an email and I will phone you.

Do I need to be good with computers?

For the app, no. Set-up is your name, your bank details and a look at five prices. If you can send a text, you can quote with it. Turning the chasing on takes the technical bits off you entirely: the app arrives already yours from one link you tap, the sending runs through my system, and you type your bank details and nothing else. A phone is enough; there is nothing to install and no password to keep.

Will my customers know it's a free app?

No. The quote is a three-page PDF with your name, licence, insurance, colour schedule and terms. Nothing on it says Quote & Chase. While your sending runs through my system, emails go out from my address with your business name as the sender and replies to your inbox, and texts come from my number signed with your name and mobile; neither says Quote & Chase. Open the sample and check.

What if a customer replies to a text?

Texts sent through my system come from a number that is not yours. Every one says replies to that number are not read and gives them a way back to you: your mobile, or your email if you have not put a mobile in the app. Anyone who replies to it anyway gets an automatic text sending them back to the number in the message. Emails reply straight to your inbox. Texts you send yourself from the app's share button come from your own phone as always.

Where is my data, and what if I lose my phone or you disappear?

On your phone and nowhere else unless you send something. Save the back-up after every invoice and keep it in your own Drive or iCloud; restore it on the new phone. If this website vanished, the app on your phone keeps working and the set-up you paid for stays done. The privacy page lists what Twilio, Resend, Stripe and Google see when you use them.

Does it work with Xero, MYOB or ServiceM8?

Not directly. It exports invoices and payments as CSV, and every document is a PDF, so your bookkeeper gets what they need.

Is there a laptop version?

There is a laptop pack for Claude Code: type the address, drop in the photos, get the PDF, on a Windows or Mac laptop. It suits painters, or their office, who do the admin at a desk. It needs a Claude subscription from Anthropic and sends nothing; the phone app is the product and does not need it. Painters who already pay for Claude can have it for nothing; email me.

Who is behind this?

One independent Australian small business, not a company with a call centre. Not affiliated with Anthropic, Twilio, Resend, Stripe or Google. The contact email and ABN are in the footer, and a person reads the inbox on business days.

How do I put it on my home screen?

It is a web app, so there is no app store. Open it once in your browser, then add it to your home screen and it behaves like any other app, offline included. Use the same address every time: the app keeps its data per address, so a bookmark to a different copy starts empty.

iPhone

  1. Open the app in Safari, not inside another app.
  2. Tap Share, the square with the arrow at the bottom.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Android

  1. Open the app in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right.
  3. Tap Install app (on some phones, Add to Home screen), then Install.
